British Columbia's official Junior Chess Championship, sanctioned by the BC Chess Federation. The two-day event uses a 5-round Swiss format with Championship (1700+ CFC), Reserve (1000–1700 CFC), and Booster 2-Day (U1000 CFC) sections. Day 1 uses G/50+10 and Day 2 uses G/90+30. A separate 7-round 3+2 CFC Quick-rated blitz tournament is scheduled Saturday at 5:30pm. Published dollar prizes are travel subsidies toward the 2027 Canadian Junior Chess Championship rather than cash prizes. A separate 1-Day Booster for beginners is also held Saturday with its own entry fee and registration.
